Fed: Pan dismisses staffer over medicines scandal
Pan Pharmaceuticals has dismissed one staffer and is questioning another over whathas become Australia's largest ever medicines recall.
A company board director, COLIN HENSON, says human error and a quality systems breakdownare to blame for a six-month suspension of the company's license and the recall of 219products by the Therapeutic Goods Administration this week.
He says one analyst has been dismissed and there is a senior person who is helpingthe company with its investigations.
Mr HENSON says the company stands behind its products despite the recall and will cooperatewith the TGA.
